Jackie joined O’Brien Law LLC as an Associate Attorney in 2016. Jackie counsels our clients on employment-based visa sponsorships and employment law-related matters. Her experience includes managing and preparing visa sponsorship petitions for employers, wage and hour compliance guidance, preparation for defense of employment-related claims, both friendly audits of I-9 compliance and defense of government audits, and in-person representation of employees before the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services. Jackie also counsels our clients on current USCIS and Department of Labor (DOL) adjudications and enforcement trends.
Before joining O’Brien Law, Jackie worked for U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services in the Office of Policy and Strategy, Business and Foreign Workers Division, where she worked to shape and define USCIS nonimmigrant visa policies and regulations under the Obama Administration. Jackie holds a Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from Suffolk University. She is a member of the Bar of the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. Jackie is also a member of the American Bar Association, and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
